Author Guidelines

The Standard of Excellence

The Journal of Contemporary Academic Research and Methodologies (JCARM) invites original, high-impact submissions that contribute to the global multidisciplinary discourse. We seek manuscripts that demonstrate methodological rigor, intellectual elegance, and a commitment to advancing knowledge across boundaries.

By submitting to JCARM, authors attest that the work is original, has not been previously published, and is not currently under consideration by any other publication.

1. Manuscript Preparation & Formatting

To ensure a seamless transition from review to publication, all manuscripts must adhere to the following technical standards:

  • File Format: Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) only.

  • Typography: Times New Roman, 12 pt for main text; 10 pt for footnotes and tables.

  • Spacing: 1.5 line spacing throughout.

  • Alignment: Left-justified only (flush left, ragged right).

  • Bilingual Excellence:

    • English: British or American English is accepted (must be consistent).

    • Hindi: Use Mangal (preferred), Unicode, or Kokila fonts. Note: Kurti Dev is not accepted.

  • Pagination: Page numbers should be placed in the bottom right-hand corner.

2. Structural Requirements (IMRaD Model)

JCARM follows the standard IMRaD (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) format, though we grant flexibility for disciplines in the Arts and Humanities.

  • Title Page: Title, Author Names, Affiliations, and Corresponding Author contact details (indicated by *).

  • Abstract: A concise summary of the research (maximum 200 words).

  • Keywords: 3 to 6 keywords in alphabetical order, separated by commas.

  • Length: Manuscripts should generally range between 2,000 and 5,000 words (excluding references and footnotes).

3. Citations & Referencing

Integrity in attribution is paramount. JCARM utilizes the APA 7th Edition referencing style.

  • In-Text Citations: Must correspond exactly with the Reference List.

  • Reference List: Single-spaced, 10 pt font, using hanging indents.

  • Note to Multidisciplinary Scholars: While APA is our standard, we respect the conventions of specific fields; please contact the Editorial Office for discipline-specific citation inquiries.

4. Ethical Standards & Submission

  • Plagiarism Policy: All submissions are screened via Turnitin/iThenticate. A maximum similarity index of 10% is strictly enforced.

  • Author Responsibility: Authors are jointly responsible for the views expressed within their manuscripts.

  • Declaration Form: A signed Copyright and Declaration Form must accompany the final version of the manuscript.
